First Fruits Friday - Almost 100

Today we got a new client. We have 97 clients now! The need for many aspects of support is growing, and it's crucial that we come together to provide a safety net for these mothers. At Seneca, we provide to them case management services, counseling services, spiritual direction and material help through our free baby boutique where moms can come and get their maternity and baby supplies. We also have our support groups in English and Spanish where these mothers find community and some become family.

It is essential to acknowledge the challenges that these mothers face. They are not only struggling to come to terms with their new circumstances, but are also scared due to the uncertainty of their future. The added pressure of financial limitations and lack of resources make these mothers feel isolated, stressed, and anxious.

The statistics are staggering. According to the American Pregnancy Association, approximately 50% of all pregnancies in the United States are unplanned. This means that millions of mothers every year face the daunting task of navigating an unexpected pregnancy without the support they need.

In Columbus, the demand for support services is increasing tremendously, and local organizations are working tirelessly to provide a helping hand. However, there is still so much need right now.

At Seneca we help mothers feel seen, heard, and valued. We empower them to thrive in the face of unexpected challenges.

Let's come together to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors who are facing unplanned pregnancies. Together, we can build a brighter future for these families and ensure that they receive the support they need to succeed. The importance of providing for their needs cannot be overstated. When mothers receive necessary care and resources, they are better equipped to make informed decisions about their health, their baby's well-being, and their future.
