First Fruits Friday - Intercessor

There are people in our lives who come in those crucial times when we may be going through something so traumatic or emotional that we cannot see or think clearly. They are those special friends or family who know our deepest needs and convictions and act on our behalf and at all costs with many obstacles. These are intercessors or counselors; two synonyms of those titles are “brother” or “sister.”  We can rely on these special friends to help us avoid making decisions out of fear or panic. They are lifelines that we may not recognize at the moment, but later see their wisdom and intervention and are so appreciative.

There are many examples of these friends in the Scriptures (see Mark 2:1-12); the most powerful example is what Jesus did for us! He interceded even when we were rebellious and deep in the pit of sin!

We hear a lot of pushback from the world that we should mind our own business and not intercede for these women - that this is a private matter between the woman and her doctor. Our advocates know that these women are in trauma and crisis and would never choose this if not for these pressures and lies. For the benefit of these mothers and their precious babies, we continue to take a stand and intercede on their behalf.  Thank you to all who have joined us on the frontlines praying on behalf of mothers and unborn babies in challenging situations.  Your prayers matter!

We also have several very special intercessors in our community who time and time again are bringing their friends who are in crises and know that through Jesus, Seneca brings hope. These intercessors are young women who have felt the blessing of Seneca because they’ve received hope and help here. These women are truly ambassadors for Christ. When they bring their friends and tell more people about our deep care for women they are creating a culture of life and hope. We ask you to pray for these women and all our clients.  Your support means the world to them. Thank you for your prayers and support of time, talent, and treasure to make this possible!

Proverbs 11:14

Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established.
