First Fruits Friday - Moving Mountains

Preparing the statistics for the monthly reports brings back all the memories of major battles on the strongholds of unbelief, fear, death and hatred. That one little and unassuming statistical number at the end of a column on a spreadsheet is a mountain that has moved because God has willed it. We get to witness each of those miracles in all their greatness at Seneca. It is beautiful, but sometimes not visible, as we look with untrained eyes. These things are happening in the deep inward parts of men/women.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, For what is seen is temporary. But what is unseen is eternal. 2 Cor 2:18

Our God is Mighty and when we pray He moves mountains! He does things we could never do and even turns our greatest failures to show how Mighty He is!

Isaiah 61:3 To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair”

This week we witnessed God drawing a special woman closer to Himself. She has been a client for several months and had many difficult circumstances. We had given her many resources and referrals which did not yield desired results. It was heartbreaking. We continued to work in a discernment process. One thing she was very adamant about is that she did not want us to pray with her. We could pray for her on our own but not with her.

We pray at Seneca!! This week a mountain moved, Praise Jesus! This woman came to Seneca and not only allowed us to pray for her, but she donated 8 hours of her organizational, sweet and kind, service to us. So when you see a little mark in the reports about praying with a client, you will remember it might have been a mountain moving!
