First Fruits Friday - Miracle on the Sidewalk
I have been with Seneca for a short time, but in that time I have seen many miracles of God. This usually happens on the days that I may be a bit discouraged or burnt out. I look up to the heavens and I pray and ask God to work in me and through me to reach the women who will arrive for appointments at the abortion facility that day. I have witnessed multiple babies' lives spared during my time on the sidewalk and even a few interactions with abortion workers and abortion facility escorts.
During my first few weeks as Sidewalk Manager, I experienced my first “yes” from a family whose daughter went into the abortion facility. I watched them as they arrived, they were all distraught, including the young woman who had the appointment. I watched as they cried and hugged each other, it was clear that the young woman was torn on what to do. I approached the family and shared with them all of the information about what their loved one was going to experience. They were able to get through to her and she came out of the abortion facility and onto the mobile clinic to find out she was pregnant with twins and she chose LIFE! We built a bond that day that will last through the birth of her baby and beyond!
Another afternoon a few weeks ago, there was a woman whose boyfriend did not want her to go into the abortion facility, however, she had her mind made up. You could see the anguish in his eyes and we tried to talk with him. He shared with myself and my Director how he felt and what he wanted. Praising the Lord she turned out to be too far along and he was able to convince her to board the mobile clinic. After seeing her baby on ultrasound and talking it through with the staff, she chose LIFE! I was blessed with the opportunity to meet and talk with her and become their case manager. This was all on the second day of 40 Days For Life.
On the same day, I had another woman who was too far along. I had a bit of trouble getting them to stop but once they did, they agreed to board the mobile. She was in a very difficult situation, which is why she was considering abortion. Once she saw the ultrasound and talked with us and was empowered, she chose LIFE in spite of her situation.
God is on the move and he is going to shut Columbus Women’s Health Organization down! When that glorious day happens, our community will be blessed beyond measure and we will be a culture of hope and life in Christ Jesus! With our supporters and fellow Christians by our side, Seneca’s ministry will continue and expand into offering more hope, help, and healing! We have to keep our eyes on him and stay in the spirit! God bless you all!
