First Fruits Friday - Falling into Place
Matthew 6:26
26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Sometimes we do not see that God is taking care of us. We walk through days trying to do things on our own accord. But God never meant for us to do this. Here is one client's story of how she went from nothing to a life full of abundance in just one month.
"I had a breakdown yesterday. I decided to take all of this God. I can only control what I can and I surrender to him. I feel him working and I get a random call. It was about a housing program that I had applied for. I have now been accepted. Now, I have a roof over my head just in time for the baby's birth.
I got a job at home now. It will pay my bills, and I will actually be able to save some money. I now have food stamps that will help me until I get on my feet. I am actually helping a friend who is in need of food with any extra.
I went onto Facebook marketplace and asked others for furniture. A woman responded that she was moving to Atlanta and that I could have anything in the house. I now have a 2nd pack-n-play that I can donate to Seneca.”
At Seneca, Choices for Life, we do not charge for our services. Any services are a direct result of the generous donations from our community. The ONLY thing that we ask our clients is to pay it forward.
What brought this client joy was NOT that she was experiencing abundance. What brought her JOY was that now she can share her abundance with others.
