First Fruits Friday - Christian Ministry
Working/volunteering at Seneca is about receiving as much as it is giving! Many missionaries attest to the same richness, as the purpose far outweighs, the human effort. The lives that are converted and forever changed speak to all of us of God’s great redemption of man. It is as wonderfully glorious as Creation. We see men and women so touched by God’s mighty hand moving in and among us that any bit of labor is transformed into praise and worship. Also, Christians are revived and work with a renewed strength and wisdom. Working with each other, convictions become reality and their love becomes actions.
We are “approving things that are excellent.” Philippians 1:10 -11
This is a special place.
A few weeks ago we were especially blessed to go to a Spiritual Warfare retreat at Holy Family led by Father Ben who gave us encouragement, teaching, and advice. He also committed to offering a First Saturday Mass for Life to include a special intention for Seneca. This fellowship and spiritual teaching gave each of us a renewed strength with this true brotherhood. There is a depth of relationship in Christian ministry that is like no other. Instantly, we connect and work for a common goal as we know deep down to truly forget ourselves and become involved. Matthew 16:24-25 “Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘If any of you want to come with me, you must forget yourself, carry your cross and follow me.’” We all do our part and even though we may not realize it, we encourage and strengthen each other! Thank you for all you do!
