First Fruits Friday - Giving

We stand amazed at the way God provides through His faithful people who are willing to give. He always reminds us of how intimately He knows our needs when He gives something a woman in need uniquely requests. We had a mom whose young boy in ICU had a unique need for adult diapers. We never get these but the very next week we received them from a donation. We are a giving people as we resemble our Father who gave us so much through Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. He is with us and blesses us that we be a blessing to others. With so many responsibilities and many “hands out” we learn to set priorities, discern needs, and set boundaries. What is God’s priority?

"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling." Psalm 68:5-6

To help the most vulnerable in their hour of need. To give not only material resources but time, counsel, and encouragement.  Seneca donors and volunteers have continually been faithful to that call. How encouraging to be arm and arm with each other meeting this great need! This is what Christian fellowship is all about - to work together towards a great goal. We now have 100 women to whom we minister and 94 babies have been saved. This is over 4 classrooms full of beautiful children's lives. It is a sweet fellowship when we can see Jesus through another person’s giving, and this helps strengthen our own resolve. Be encouraged and strengthen with this news! With your help we are doing great work: To the glory and honor of Our Giving Father!

“And they came, everyone whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved him, and brought the Lord's contribution to be used for the tent of meeting” Ex 35:20
