First Fruits Friday - We Trust HIM

Recently, I was again reading an article about ways to know if something is from God, and it was mentioned that we know something comes from God, when it demands a "new level of trust." That line right there resonated with me in an incredible way because I was reading this on the first day of our 40 Days for Life campaign, which is certainly a period when our trust in God is tested and doing HIS work outside on the sidewalk demands a new level of trust.

When we are outside reaching out to abortion-minded women speaking words of peace, love, and life, then unite in prayer for them, incredible things happen! On the very first day of the 40 Days for Life campaign, 4 out of 14 women (28%) accepted our offer to help. However, it is easy to feel helpless or discouraged when we see the rest of the mothers who are too hardened to accept our help and to hope. Yet, we must always remember that it doesn’t depend on US, it depends on GOD!

We must continue praying for these moms and trusting that God will do His work. It does not matter what signs we use, or what flyers we give, all these things certainly help and their use is based on strategies that have proven to be effective. But it is God who is in charge and it is HIM who will reach those hearts. We need to keep in mind that even if these mothers ultimately choose abortion, the Lord has allowed us to plant seeds in their hearts which may ultimately save their souls. They will remember we were outside praying for them and offering help. They will remember that moment and give it a second …third …tenth thought where they might finally decide to start anew and give themselves to Him.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you again so much for joining us in these efforts on the sidewalk. We pray that in this 40 Days for Life campaign, God uses us as instruments of His work to transform hearts, save lives, and end abortion in our community, our country, and our whole world.
