First Fruits Friday - God Led Me to Seneca

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

God works in mysterious ways. He placed Seneca next door to the abortion facility to be a beacon of light and hope to mothers in need. As supporters of Seneca, you make it possible for our team to live out the mission and vision of Seneca to make abortion unthinkable and build a culture of hope. Know that your prayers, financial support, and time serving on-site make a huge difference in the lives of mothers, fathers and their unborn babies. We may not always know God's plan, but He does. Through immediate outreach and prayerful intervention with sidewalk advocacy and case management, His plans begin to unfold to the mothers we serve!

Recently a client entered into the abortion facility. She had an ultrasound there and then came over to Seneca. The Sidewalk Advocate met her outside and took her to the client advocate who spent time listening to her situation. She stated she could not go through with the abortion. She doesn't believe in abortion, but feels overwhelmed because she has a 1 year old daughter and the father was not in the picture and didn't want another child. She felt alone, confused, overwhelmed and the pregnancy was still a secret to everyone except the father. She had had hopes for a future and now they were dashed.

In her words:

"I am against abortion but my circumstances brought me to the abortion clinic. After seeing the ultrasound, I prayed about it. It wasn't in my heart to have an abortion. God led me here (Seneca) for a reason. After I left here I finally told my mom. She was happy for another grandbaby. She will watch the kids while I return to school. I do plan on working full time at night as well."

Our plans may not go as planned but HE knows.
