First Fruits Friday - A Time for Reflection

“And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”’ Revelation 21:5

The New Year is a time of reflection. For many of our clients, that means looking back at some of the worst moments in their lives, and seeing how far they have come.

Our Case Manager recently reached out to our clients, and we are thrilled to see so many positive changes happening. One client had a chance to review her actual words of where she was at months ago and where she is now.

"I was in a dark place. I have come a long way. I am in a different place in regard to the father of my child. I now see his true colors. I used to walk on eggshells around him. I used to take the blame for everything. I would be the first to apologize. Something happened to his vehicle - yet he blamed me. It was a relationship that was always touch and go."

The case manager spoke with the client about how God was protecting her in order for her NOT to settle and to give her the best. The client agreed saying, "That is why I feel peace."

Another client contacted us after we followed up with her. She stated, "I finally left him. He threatened me with a gun and tried to get me put away for something that I did not do. I finally made the best decision for me and the kids."

Here at Seneca, the safety of our clients is our first priority. We know that life is never a mistake, but the circumstances are not always ideal. When we journey with mothers through Case Management for up to 2 years, we are able to help instil the hope and light of Christ in their lives.  Our clients review healthy relationship standards, allowing them to see the truth of their circumstances and change for the glory of God.  This change, in turn, brings more peace and a closeness to Christ, a relationship unlike any other.  A healthy relationship with our Lord is what brings about lasting peace!! Christ is indeed making ALL THINGS new!

May the Prince of Peace fill YOUR heart this New Year. All of these positive changes are a direct result of your prayers, your volunteerism, and your financial support throughout 2020. Thank you!

Please consider giving to the ministry in time, talent, or treasure in 2021 to help us further our mission to “Make Abortion Unthinkable” for mothers, no matter their circumstances.
