First Fruits Friday - Good Intentions

Good Intentions

In our Seneca life coaching program for our case management clients, they must define incremental goals - 5 years, 3 years, 1 year, and six months. This then determines the direction of the steps they need to take, beginning immediately.  With a holistic approach, the team gathers resources and guides the clients as they seek to achieve their goals. It is as if each client has their own personal cheerleader.

We all need cheerleaders. We all need encouragers. In our daily struggles, we sometimes need others to show us our potential when we are unable to look up and see the stars.  We all falter. Despite our clients’ best efforts, they can become discouraged and falter.  Yet many still try and try and try.  They refuse to give in.  Even Christ struggled mightily in carrying his cross. It was heavy and HE was weary.

Client Advocates are Seneca's cheerleaders. They check up on our clients  through calls and/or meetings. They form relationships with our ladies and pray with them. They meet with them at least once a month and make sure that they are on track with achieving their long term goals. These special volunteers experience deep satisfaction and gratitude as they chart their clients’ progress through what can be tumultuous times. Our clients love them. When a long term client comes in, she will typically seek out her Advocate.  They want to show off their babies and let these volunteers know that what they are doing matters.

Won't you join our team in encouraging our clients and infusing life into them? We all have good intentions. We may even say that, “Yes, I think that Seneca and Sound Choices are doing great things in the community.” The point is, good intentions by themselves do not produce results. What results do YOU want from your stewardship?
